This is my home county. In a severe violation of the Constitution, yesterday, the @alamancenc Sheriff confined protesting to certain zones and times. I had confederate flags waved at me, choice words hurled at me, numerous middle fingers and head shaking, and a toddler yelling “TrUmP 2020” from her car seat. Across the street stood a group of people using intimidation tactics as we cried for this country to value our lives. Police officers stood 10 feet behind us laughing at our demonstrations.

I thought I’d be in NYC by now, but each day God reminds me that I have work to do here. Never pass up an opportunity to get in #GoodTrouble . #NecessaryTrouble .
