The lesson of my current season: Contentment.

God is challenging me not covet the lives of others, the creativity of others and the accomplishments of others.

I have to regularly kill the lie that my life, my creativity and my value is not good enough…that I must have more, do more, be more in order to win acceptance or approval or even God’s love.

God has specifically chosen where I am right now, what I have right now and what I know right now. I have to trust His timing, His process and His desires for my life even if they do not always match up to my own desires.

If you are struggling with being content, this scripture has been a beautiful reminder for me to go back to. I hope it blesses you too!

”Let your conduct be without covetousness; be content with such things as you have. For He Himself has said, “I will never leave you nor forsake you.” So we may boldly say: “The Lord is my helper; I will not fear. What can man do to me?”“
Hebrews 13:5-6
