Switching Off 🎄🌟 This years had its ups and downs and although social media has a lot of positives including connecting with others,Switching Off 🎄🌟 This years had its ups and downs and although social media has a lot of positives including connecting with others, staying in touch and sharing work with fellow illustrators, it’s important to switch off properly. For me 2020 has had highs and lows, lows including a constant worry about work, the pandemic, not seeing loved ones and family loss but Instagram often only shows the highs, as it’s often the positives that we share online. So if you are feeling low and social media makes you feel worse, take time off. Let’s celebrate each other’s highs, be kind and remember social media is very much a highlight reel, a collection of the positives and very often only half the story 🌟 everyone has tough times too, take some time to switch off and whether 2020 has been a good or bad year for you, we’ve made it through. I’m logging out to enjoy the Christmas period away from my screen and be with my little bubble. Many have online shops and it’s probably the last few days to get last minute orders in so (if we can, I understand not everyone is buying a lot this year) let’s do our shopping with them and support our lovely booksellers, makers and creators into the New Year and beyond 💛🌟🎄
