@hildagnews : Did you know that, according to historians, at least 15 times as many enslaved Africans were taken to Latin America than the United States during the transatlantic slave trade? Some 5 million alone were taken to Brazil and the rest to places like Dominican Republic, Puerto Rico, Cuba, Panama, Costa Rica, Peru, Argentina, and Mexico among others.
Some 15 million Africans were take from their homes and transported by force to the Americas and over 90% of them were taken to South America and the Caribbean.
Some 150 million people of African descent live in Latin America today.
