This is some really interesting news about the history of humans, and it kind of just flew under the radar with all the outrage and fear journalism dominating most of our news feeds.
I’ve done my best to distance myself from that shit over the last few months and concentrate more on really fascinating stuff like this, and I find that just by doing that it makes a noticeable difference in how I feel about the world.

One of the reasons outrage and fear journalism is so prominent is simply because we flock to it. They focus on that shit because it gets clicks and views, and that’s how they pay the bills. If you just make a conscious decision to start ignoring that stuff and seek out stories that are truly interesting maybe the media will spend more time curating them.
