I have never felt more certain of who I am, more sure of where my place is in this world, or more steady on my own two feet.

People ask me all the time where I get my confidence from. The better question is where I get my happiness from:
At home—exactly where my heart is.
As a mother, I will discuss anything and everything—from vaccines to overseas conflicts— and I will not blink twice at those who try to intimidate me away from digging deeper.

I have learned there is narrative and there is truth and that the two are more often than not, not the same.

When it comes to my household, me and my husband are the experts.
