    KAMALA HARRIS IS THE FIRST BLACK WOMAN ON A MAJOR PARTY PRESIDENTIAL TICKET!!!!!! I’ve long looked up to Senator Harris as a role model and admired her reputation for trailblazing. She’s an attorney, was the first woman and first black person to serve as the Attorney General of California, and is only the second black woman SO FAR (there will be many more) to serve as a United States Senator. Senator Harris, we celebrate this momentous occasion with you just like you celebrated the wins of my sisters and me. Thank you for seeing us and giving us another reason to believe.

    Also, this is a throwback to last year when @victorianpaul and I fangirled over @kamalaharris during our @rpmproductions visit to DC to speak to members of Congress. We didn’t have a scheduled appointment with her but she still took the time to speak with us and give a few kind words of encouragement.

      So..... I did a thing today 😊😊 •
      This morning I had the pleasure of appearing on Fox 46 Charlotte to talk about The Face magazine and the fashion show that will be held tonight! The best part is that two of the designers from Project Runway that will be featured in tonight’s show were on tv with me to talk about their designs!!! Many thanks to Edmond Newton and Christopher Palu for waking up at the crack of dawn to talk about tonight’s show. Hope you’ll join us for the Blogger Brunch at 1pm and the fashion show at 8pm!

        The Conference of Chief Justices is an elite organization comprised of the highest judicial officers from each state, the District of Columbia, and several US territories. I was honored that the Chief Justice of the North Carolina Supreme Court, Cheri Beasley, invited me to be a part of the closing event for the CCJ Annual Meeting this year—“A Fireside Chat with Miss USA.” The room for the event was over capacity due to the sheer number of justices who were interested in attending. Chief Justice Beasley and I talked about my reign and responsibilities as Miss USA, technology in the legal industry, and understanding generational differences in the workplace. I was overjoyed to be surrounded by a group I hold in such high regard and thrilled that the same group valued the information, experience, and ideas Chief Justice Beasley and I shared. #CCJ #MissUSA #FiresideChat #LegalEagle #AttorneyLife
