Hiking has become one of the greatest passions of life alongside my yoga practice, creating art & writing. Some would think that these passions have always been a huge part of my life but they didn’t come about until later in my life.

My childhood into teens was all dance. I began nationally competing/winning at the age of 5. My first apprenticeship to a professional dance company at the age of 15. However at 16 I suffered from my worst injury of tearing nerves in my left foot, leaving me unable to dance. I couldn’t put weight on it without agonizing pain. My dream for dance was lost.

With that lost dream it opened the doors to the discovery of yoga which created a new foundation, respect & love for my body I never had before. It also lead me in the direction of becoming Buddhist. The combination of yoga & Buddhist philosophy reawakened my spiritual journey & a new way of living-being. Along with this serious injury my art was awakened in greater heights than ever before, as a senior in high school the majority of my classes was AP Art & going to night classes at a college. I also took to aerial dance, where I could move without putting pressure on my injured foot. So with one lost dream birthed multiple new dreams.

More dreams continued awakened as in college as I studied acting, fine arts, graphic design, creative writing, musical theatre & helped in the dance department. My focus became mainly on acting where in my senior year I moved to Manhattan to pursue it. That’s when I became terribly ill. I continued to pursue acting when I moved to LA but my health wouldn’t allow it nor could I handle the toxicity of the profession. So yet another dream died.

That is when I discovered my passion for hiking. Along with my passion for writing & modeling from raw artistic self expression. Free of judgment from the acting community + finally saying a “fuck you” to societal pressures. With these new passions-dreams I became truly liberated.

This is my reminder to all that dreams may die due to uncontrollable life circumstances. It can be soul crushing & you will experience grief from the loss. But new dreams, you never would have known, will be born ❤️🤟🏼
