Choose to be kind. Part III of my story.

When the bullying post op nurse left to call my doctor/surgeon, she first lectured my mom that I should not be in any pain at all due to receiving Botox. My mom told her that was not the treatment I had received, in which the nurse argued until she looked at my charts (though know those who receive that treatment can still wakeup in pain). Also this nurse should have greatly taken in consideration the information given from the first post op nurse that I had first come out of anesthesia in extreme pain & postanaesthetic shivering.

When the nurse returned from calling my doctor/surgeon she went into telling me the only way I could receive my prescription was for my doctor/surgeon to drive all the way back to the hospital & that wasn’t going to happen. She then accused me of refusing to cooperate, refusing to leave the hospital & me attempting to be overnight admitted for my want of pain medication. Which none of that was true as I told her. My mom asked her if my doctor had said nothing else could be done, in which the nurse then conveyed that I was to be given one type pain medication through my IV & then another through pill form which should keep the pain at bay until morning aka when I could get my prescription. Why she delayed the information & treatment is beyond my comprehension, besides that it was showing her to be wrong.

I was kindly assisted by another post op nurse, who I have so much gratitude for, as she administered the medication along with helping me eat, drink & assisting me to use the restroom. When my mom left to get the car so we could leave, I assumed the kind nurse would be there but instead the bullying nurse returned. She placed a wheelchair in front of me, stood back & crossed her arms as she said “Let’s go”. She offered no assistance, even though I was a huge fall risk. She continued to stand back as I struggled off the bed & into the chair. She did the same as I got in the passenger side of the car. Both instances I could have easily gotten seriously injured if I had fallen.

Continuing to share on my next post.
Do no harm.
