To the girls who read the studies about aluminum zirconium and breast cancer and decided that self love might start a little smelly.
For the girls who were tired of big brand deodorants causing hyperpigmentation and yellow stains on white shirts.
For the girls who after years of anti-perspirants had to learn what it felt like to actually sweat — not glisten — SWEAT.
This is dedicated to the ladies who left the house smelling like roses only to arrive smelling like a sandwich.
To the brave souls who stuck with it.
To the ladies who learned to love their smell.

Healthy choices aren’t always easy or glamorous but they are always worth it. It gets better!
@crystaldeodorant is my “the one”
What kind of deodorant do you wear and why do you love it ??

🌶 One of the hardest parts about moving is having to rebuild your local health/beauty team.
I need a new hair stylist, waxer, pedicurist, masseuse, doctor, dentist…. Everything 😭

Another hard thing? Jet lag. Ihaven’t gone to bed at a reasonable hour since February. I look exhausted in these photos because I am exhausted 😂

🌶 A lot has happened since the last time I posted!
Here are three highlights:
1. I turned 29 🎈
2. I became a mom to a new fur baby 🥰
3. I kept a promise to myself and finally took the steps to pursue one of my major wellness goals 🧞‍♀️
I am healthy. I am happy. I am whole.
Now, let’s get into this spring pandemic content!
.
.
.
Unrelated: this picture was taken in front of a coral reef garden at the @intercontinental Bora Bora Resort and Thalasso Spa. Those bungalos above the water are massage rooms with glass floors. I got a massage and got to watch brightly colored fish swim and feed on the reef under the bungalow. One of my favorite spas to date 💛

🌶 Happy Ti-Tea Tuesday: Tea Review!
This week we are reviewing @organicindiausa Tulsi Sweet Rose Tea.

Flavor profile: Fragrant, light, floral
Drinkability: daily bc no caffeine
How I tea: just hot water or mixed with raspberry leaf

It’s about time we start talking about adaptogens.
Adaptogens are natural substances that help your body cope with stress and promote wellness.

Tulsi, or Holy Basil (not to be confused with the basil you put in your spaghetti or your pho) is an adaptogen native to India that is used for fighting stress and anxiety.
It’s also known as an herbal response to viruses and bacteria that affect lung health like colds, flu, … you know where I’m going with this but I won’t say it because Insta hates when you say the C-word 👀
.
Tulsi is a super important herb in Ayurvedic Medicine and practitioners of Ayurveda liken Tulsi to “yoga in a cup” for its ability to relax you and foster full body well being.

Health Benefits: The major health benefit is that Tulsi is a natural anti-depressant. Studies have found it to help promote social behavior and lessen anxiety. It also has an antioxidant that is specific to eye health (Lutein).

Beauty Benefits: Tulsi is major for beauty because its anti-stress components translate to skincare too! Tulsi has a calming effect on the skin due to its anti-inflammatory properties. It also is anti-microbial and anti-bacterial.

I love this tea.
I think you will too.
Stay healthy and sip slow 🤍🫖

🌶 Happy Friday! Let’s chat!
.
.
Consider this your HG warning to be wary of this warm front we’ve been experiencing on the east coast. Every spring we get a series of warm days and everyone strips off their clothes and (rightfully) loses their mind as they attempt to welcome spring. Then 3-days later (or at night) the temperature makes a significant drop and everyone gets sick. This is the time to start immune boosting because spring flu and spring sinuses are coming!
Try:
1. Echinacea Tea
2. Elderberry Extract
3. Getting at least 7-hours of sleep
4. Stay hydrated, LOTS of water.
5. Keep your feet and underarms covered!
.
Check my story for an immune boost recipe.
